I welcome all parents and community members to a monthly Breakfast with the Principal. These are held the first Wednesday of every month from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The first of these will be on Wednesday, September 5th. We will attempt to provide childcare if we know in advance of your attendance and childcare needs. Please come and share coffee, morning sweets, and your ideas and concerns. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you find the time please RSVP to Roberta at TMS by calling 875-2564.

Each year during our initial staff meetings we go over our suicide prevention strategies. This year a useful website was provided regarding suicide information and prevention in adolescents. We had a great start to the year here at TMS. Despite some late buses in the beginning and end of the day, all students handled the situation well and were lovingly welcomed for another year into our school community.

I just became aware today of an opportunity for our kids to apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community award, an award recognizing students for their community service. I would be happy to support any of our students in their application for this prestigious award. 8/28/07I am excited to have this new year get started. We have many new staff members joining us, all great educators and people. In grade 5 we have Johnathan Campbell, Jolene Mascetti, and Lorrie Storozuk, in grade 6 Stephanie Cassidy, in grade 7 Sarah Bakulski and Kerri Gedansky in Language Arts, Robin Wilson in Math, Cheryl Mawaka in Science, and Alvarino Marino in Spanish. Kelly Martin joins us as our new Library Media Specialist, Rebecca Derby as our new self-contained Special Education teacher, and Margaret Marcisz as our new LPN.

We are also very excited about our new web-site, which is currently under construction.
