Standards Based Report Card Efforts

Things to know:

1.      A Standards Based Assessment system (Report Card or Online system) will be used for the 2012-2013 school year. Click HERE for the TIMELINE for implementation.

2.      The following after school Subject Area PLC meetings will be dedicated to the Standards Based Assessment project, specifically, to align the standards to your assessments:

3.       Download The Standards-Assessments Log Form for your classes must be completed/updated for review on each of the above Subject Area PLC meeting dates. It is available for download by clicking above and/or these will be made available on the T: or U: drive by mid-September. I will also send these out in an e-mail.

4.  Prototype Report Card for TMS.

5.   Please note we will be assessing each standard at a % of mastery rather than a number. For example, you choose to cover a standard on four of your assessments in Quarter 1, with about 5 questions each. Under that design, each question would be worth 20%, if the student received an 80 on the first, 60 on the second, 80 on third, and 40 on the fourth for that quarter they would receive a 65% on that strand for Quarter 1. These can then be averaged for an overall grade as well (all strands %’s averaged to make an aggregate % or grade for that quarter).
